Push to Connect Fittings

Push to Connect Fittings

For over forty years manufacturing companies have enjoyed the benefits of push to Connect Pneumatic Fittings. Gone forever were the days of hose barbs and clamp to connect pneumatic hose to fittings. With push to connect technology, simply insert the tubing into the fitting and you are done. While these fittings were and are more expensive than barbed fittings in terms of purchasing cost, they are less expensive when the labor cost of installation is factored into the equation.
Most full line pneumatic supply manufacturers, including Norgren, SMC and Numatics offer such fittings. In fact this type of fitting is ubiquitous on OEM equipment using pneumatics.

In the 21st century, off shore manufacturers of these fittings have come to the market. Some private label fittings for the large domestic players in the market. Others have tried to penetrate the U.S. market under their own brand. Still others sell through a network of independent resellers.
Whichever path the fitting takes to the market, it is sure to offer a significant savings.

While quality is always a concern when dealing with offshore manufacturers, that can be easily overcome by buying some samples and evaluating the quality and performance of the fitting in your application. It has been by experience that in every application the performance has met or exceeded the specification.

Try it for yourself. You don’t have much to lose but a little time and couple of dollars. You could gain a new link in your supply chain that will save you 40%+ on your push to connect fittings.
